annemarie01Anne Marie Dunphy first became involved in Dressage in 1992 having worked in many aspects of both the sport horse and thoroughbred industries.
A graduate of the Grennan Equestrian College, Co. Kilkenny,  Anne Marie’s first two years of competitive dressage were combined with part time work in the racing industry with leading racehorse trainer Jim Bolger.

By 1994 Anne Marie had taken up a position as Chief Instructor at Portlaoise Equestrian Centre, Co Laois, training students towards the B.H.S. exams. Her dressage results were showing a progressive trend at both Regional and National Championship levels.

annemarie02In 1999, with the help of top German trainer Conrad Schumacher,  Anne Marie became established as one of Ireland’s leading dressage riders with several Regional and National Championship wins and success on the British circuit. This was quickly followed by the breakthrough to International level and since 2001 she has represented Ireland every year at CDI competitions throughout Europe.
Committed to the development and administration of her sport Anne Marie is a member of the Board of Dressage Ireland, former Chair and current committee member of the South East Dressage Region and founder member of the Irish International Dressage Riders Group.

Now based at her home in Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Anne Marie divides her time training and competing in Ireland and on the Continent, while coaching many of Ireland’s most successful dressage and event riders in their own quest for success.
