Anthony Byrne, from Gorey, Co. Wexford will take over the ride on Egano S for 2009.
Anthony, a speech therapy student at Trinity College, has represented Ireland previously at U21 competitions in Ireland and the UK. He plans to compete Egano S at FEI Young Rider level and will aim to qualify for the YR European Championships in Holland next summer.
"Alf and myself are delighted. Anthony is a very talented young rider and Egano S has so much experience-that's the ideal combination! Since making his International debut in 2003 "Hans" has represented Ireland every year, first at Small Tour and from 2006 at Big Tour and we now look forward to seeing him with Anthony at International YR competitions".
