ANNE MARIE AND URBANUS WIN THREE NATIONAL TITLES E-mail

AM-Dunphy-Urbanus0911Anne Marie and Urbanus claimed a hat trick at the Dressage Ireland National Championships last weekend at Cavan Equestrian Centre.
On friday Anne Marie and the powerful black 10 yr old son of Ronaldo got the ball rolling by winning the Prix St Georges Freestyle to Music Championship in convincing style on a score of 69.87%. Saturday, they continued as they started, adding the Prix St Georges Championship to their haul scoring 67.36% and on Sunday, completed the hat trick taking the Intermediare 1 title with 63.98%.

Anne Marie was also in the ribbons with the promising 5 yr old mare Her Highness Willow (by His Highness), placing 4th in the Preliminary Championship out of 20 competitors with a score of 66.305% and 4th again in the Young Horse Championship on 68.50%.



 
Urbanus and Anne Marie win South East Advanced Championship E-mail

SER-Dressage-2011-Championships-006Following their win in the Intermediare 1 class at the Eastern Region Championships in August, Urbanus and Anne Marie went on last weekend at Spruce Lodge to become Advanced Champions of the South East Region for 2011. Next - The National Dressage Championships at Cavan Equestrian Centre, 23rd-25th September.
 
Rachel Dowley and Egano S Win in Scotland E-mail

Rachel Dowley and Egano S enjoyed a successful trip to Rowallen Activity Centre, Scotland, in July. Taking part first in a BD affiliated festival, they won three of their four classes, an advanced medium and two advanceds, with scores of up to 65% from Ninnie Odenrick. They also finished third in the PSG, with 60.26%.
After two days break from competing, they returned to the arena to participate in the BYRDS young rider festival. where they finished sixth in both FEI classes and earned scores of up to 64% in the team tests.
 
Urbanus wins in UK E-mail

Urbanus made it two Prix St Goerges wins in two weeks when scoring 66.7% at Swallowfield Equestrian Centre, UK last weekend. Anne Marie and Romeo now head to the Hartpury CDI where they will compete in the International Small Tour classes.

Anne Marie and Urbanus got their 2011 summer season off to a flying start by winning the Prix St Georges class at the South East Region show held at Spruce Lodge last saturday, 18th June. The pair scored 66.5% in front of List 1 judge Gisela Holstein, and in doing so also qualified for the Irish National Dressage Championships to be held at Cavan Equestrian Centre in September.

Next month, Anne Marie and Urbanus head to the UK where they will compete at a number of national shows before representing Ireland at the International 3*** Hartpury Festival of Dressage in Gloucestershire.
